In this context, I was very lucky during my studies that a friend of my mother's from the management of the Holzbrinck Publishing Group, Pierre Gerckens, entrusted me to Juan Luis Cebrián, now Honorary President of Spain's largest newspaper El País, as an intern for six months. Above all, the media can HELP CITIZENS🙏 who are affected by abuse of power and do not have the necessary financial and legal resources:
I increasingly see fair disputes with very one-sided power asymmetries as a major weakness of "supposedly" progressive democratic states in the event of conflict - especially with regard to the obviously necessary equal distribution of financial resources for high-ranking lawyers:

If a STATE is really interested in FAIRNESS, then it MUST ensure a symmetrical distribution of resources in legal disputes - see in particular the Oscar-winning film "Molly's Game":

This movie brilliantly illustrates that a sufficiently reputable lawyer in the U.S. can easily ask his client for $250,000 as a retainer for his legal efforts....

I look at my father's old dueling weapon from the 19th century and think:

Back then, conflicts were still fought FAIRLY, both parties to the conflict had at least comparable weapons🤺💫.
